First NFT vending machine was opened in New YorkNFT platform Neon launched the first NFT vending machine in the world. It is located in the financial district of NY, at 29 John Street.
The mechanism of operation of the device is similar to other vending machines: first you need to decide on the method of payment (dollars and bank cards are accepted). Next, select the NFT you like from the storefront, and the machine will give out a box with a QR code inside, which you need to scan. Then everything is simple: go to the Neon platform and see your token there. The company, by the way, works on the Solana blockchain, which is considered more environmentally friendly and efficient than others.
“While only 2% of Americans have crypto wallets, 80% have a credit or debit card. This is a 40-fold increase in the potential audience of the artist. We want to empower creators and digital artists whose work is often underestimated,” says Jordan Birnholtz, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Neon.
