So Chihuahua token is one that we felt was worth reviewing of as it has been posted in some other places and it also has the much liked SAFU badge.
Here is our honest assessment of the project before its fairlaunch begins in a few days.
So the project is run by an experienced team and their last project actually offered a lot of Xs for presale buyers. The safu badge, as previously mentioned, will no doubt help their raise amount as investors seem to look for it in a project currently.
The project itself is a meme coin with plans to donate to charity. Chihuahua, according to the team, is one of the most popular dogs in China so they hope to tap into that market with this in mind.
There are also talks about a deflationary staking protocol which sounded interesting but past a mod saying more will be announced soon on that we couldn't find much more information. Will be interested to learn more about that though.
So the softcap for the fairlaunch is 200 BNB. These types of presales can be really hit or miss depending on how much is initially raised as the fairlaunch opens. We have seen many projects suffer, regardless of quality, due to having a high softcap and a low opening raise. This can lead to investors passing up an opportunity to contribute as they don't wish to have their capital stuck in a slow or no fill. We will be interested to see how this one goes and if this did occur, what steps the team would take.
Of course, the other risk with a fairlaunch is the potential overraise and often lack of sustained buying pressure off launch.
The global Telegram community is already very busy and filled with organic chatter which is always a promising sign before presale.
Interesting to note a nearly 50% burn of total supply. Another thing of interest is the 10% buy/sell. It will certainly mean more marketing funds available post launch but the current trend does seem to be a preference for lower taxes.
The team do seem to know how to market so will be interesting to see how it goes with plans for Asian marketing, AMA tour, CEXes and other listings.
Looking at recent successful meme projects it definitely seems a key focus needs to be community more than ever. A combination of effective marketing and solid community building could be the key, to atleast, short-medium term success for Chihuahua Token.
Bear case?
Perhaps it is just embracing being a meme/charity token but the short term road map found on the website doesn't have any substance to it past some generic marketing plans. The KYC was also conducted by The Matrix Labs who aren't the most reputable company - we would suggest the team secure a KYC with a more household name to increase investor safety. Finally, the fairlaunch presale, whilst popular, can be a hard one to find the right balance of rising enough but not too much. We will be watching keenly to see how they tackle an under or overraise.
