Mastercard partnership with Bakkt.

On its website, Mastercard unveiled its partnership with the exchange Bakkt to expand its range of services related to cryptocurrencies. Thus, the goal is to allow Mastercard's partners to have access to digital asset investment products.

With its powerful network and this new partnership, Mastercard aims to significantly democratize access to cryptocurrencies. Moreover, in addition to this service, Mastercard wants to use cryptocurrencies as a loyalty solution. The idea is to allow its partners to offer cryptocurrencies as rewards in order to create synergies between loyalty points and digital assets.

Back in May, Mastercard highlighted the emergence of new digital payments, which included cryptocurrencies. In addition to that survey, the company had taken the lead in proposing the addition of these digital assets to its network during 2021.
