SuperRare and SuperWorld, a virtual world in AR have launched RAREWORLD: An NFT Takeover, an intervention of immersive 3D sculptures installed throughout the Convention Center during Miami Art Week.

RAREWORLD is an exhibition and activation viewable via the SuperWorld app November 30th – December 5th, 2021 featuring large-scale AR artworks and sculptures by more than 20 artists, curated by SuperRare. The works will also be sold on SuperRare via a reserve auction during the fair.

Visitors are encouraged to find all 20 works and to screenshot the works in-situ, sharing them via Twitter with the hashtag #RareWorld #NFTakeover and tagging SuperRare and SuperWorld to win a bespoke POAP badge

Do you know how often NFT-community repeats "we are early"? Well, now we have statistical proof. Finder polled over 28,000 people in an online survey across 20 countries to compare NFT adoption.

The Philippines has the most NFT owners (32%) out of the 20 countries compared, followed by Thailand (27%), Malaysia (24%), the UAE (23%), and Vietnam (17%). On the other end of the spectrum, Japan has the smallest percentage of Internet users with NFTs (2%), followed by the UK and the US (3% each), Germany (4%), Australia (5%), and Canada (6%).

The virtual fashion collective RTFKT Studios described themselves as a “new age Supreme, for a digital audience.” So far they were up to the mark with a series of high-profile collaborations over the year, including virtual sneakers with Jeff Staple and Fewocious.

The current project "Clone X: Avatars" is the most anticipated collaboration with the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Murakami has contributed designs to the eyes, mouths, helmets, clothes, and ‘traits’ of the characters, incorporating signature elements of his well-established, cartoonish aesthetic.

RTFKT’s Avatars will be fully 3D rigged models, meaning that their owners could, feasibly, use them as AR filters on camera, in Zoom meetings, or games. There are also plans for the development and airdrops.

Among all the talks about Apes and Punks, VeeFrens, and Cool Cats, we easily miss hidden gems, NFT projects with great potential and promising futures. Here are some examples:

Bushidos: 8,888 NFT samurai defending the blockchain from centralization and FUD. The art was created by Jerremy Booth, the Product Illustrator for Coinbase. The floor price is still around 0.029 ETH on the secondary market. But don't be mistaken, Jeremy recently caught the eye of Sublimes and GaryVee, and we all know how this kind of attention usually goes.
