Coinbase will Launch a Layer 2 Ethereum Network Called Base

Coinbase has introduced Base, a trial version of its new Ethereum Layer 2 network, at the ETHDenver conference. The network will not have its own dedicated token, and to support its development, Coinbase will also launch the Base Ecosystem Fund which invests in and supports early stage projects building on Base.
