Whitelisting for the Minterest Community Allocation Event is LIVE!
Whitelisting is open from
25 Nov to 01 Dec, following which, our Community Allocation Event will run from
01 Dec to 08 Dec.
Minterest is using an LBP for its public distribution to allow for fair access to its tokens, as is common for many DeFi protocols. Why then did we decide to hold a Community Allocation Event ahead of the LBP Token Event?
LBPs can be untenable for the smallest of investors for a couple key reasons and we want to offer an approach that would be inclusive for this core part for our community.
How so? Smaller investors are highly sensitive to (1) Ethereum gas fees which are truly sky high today and (2) LBPs do cater to the more sophisticated participant due to the dynamic pricing involved, which can cause unnecessary confusion
Thus we undertook an extensive design process to address these potential problem areas which has culminated into the Community Allocation Event, instead of merely defaulting to only an LBP
