As with any large-scale, intensive investigation of a protocol, there were a few notable findings - this audit gave us the invaluable opportunity to rectify those vulnerabilities before deployment, allowing us to demonstrate our dedication to remaining best-in-class in DeFi security.

TOB-MNTR-1: Resolved through code changes preventing loophole exploitation.
TOB-MNTR-2: Resolved through large-scale rewrites in code and will be validated in upcoming fresh audits.
TOB-MNTR-3: Resolved by removing the large array allocation.

Technical and economic innovations are a two-step tango. A protocol innovates to become more capital efficient - malicious hackers innovate to attack previously non-existing loopholes. It might not even be malice: masses might simply behave unpredictably.

In engaging Trail of Bits, a first-in-class DeFi security and audit company, Minterest wanted their expert eyes to make thorough checks against technical code-based vectors of protocol attack.

Trail of Bits also go a step further most DeFi audit firms don’t: checking for possible economic exploits.

We're proud to announce that Minterest has successfully undergone a full technical (codebase) and economic audit by Trail of Bits, one of the most highly-reputed security organisations in the DeFi space.

In the coming days, we’ll be summarising findings from the report, rectification steps taken where necessary, and what our next plans are to ensure Minterest remains best-in-class in DeFi security.

Security is a top priority at Minterest and the protocol is subject to the highest standards of security auditing possible!

In-line with our mission of maintaining transparency and delivering a great product, we engaged Trail of Bits, one of the best security research firms in the space, to undertake an independent audit of the Minterest protocol.

The final report of this security audit will be published by the end of March 2022.

Going a step further, we will also engage two more industry leading security research firms to undertake additional independent audit of the Minterest protocol
