The Japanese automaker has given the first 500 customers who order an Acura Integra the opportunity to create a non-interchangeable token for the sporty liftback.
This offer will allow owners of the new car to earn and the brand to raise its visibility in a space popular with an advanced audience.
The first confirmed case of an Acura Integra-based NFT was a token put up on the OpenSea trading platform by user Fab5_eth. And at a price higher than that of the real car.
Initially, the owner of the car decided to put up a virtual liftback at the price of five Ethereum (ethereum is a cryptocurrency and platform for creating decentralized online services based on blockchain). Soon the owner cancelled the sale and raised the price to 12 Ethereums, which is equivalent to a value of over $37,000.
