NFT marketplace Magic Eden is set for a month of free gaming NFT mints, with 13 projects preparing to launch on the platform.The event, called "Mint Madness," will showcase collections across Polygon, Ethereum and Solana beginning on Friday, according to a company release, with Planet Mojo NFTs launching on Polygon that day. The platform will also track which users are trading from those collections listed on the secondary marketplace on a leaderboard. The top 10 traders by volume, applicable only to Polygon collections, will be entered into a prize pool of 20,000 MATIC, with the first-place finisher receiving a prize of 4,500 MATIC. Despite the fact that Magic Eden started off as a Solana-only marketplace, just one of the 13 collections will debut on the blockchain. Nine are set to launch on Polygon and three on Ethereum. launching on Polygon on March 15 and Ethereum on March 22.

The trading of NFTs is skyrocketing upwards, according to DappRadar’s February industry report. In fact, NFT trading hit $2 Billion in February.

According to metaverse platform, Metajuice, almost three out of four of the nonfungible token (NFT) collectors on its platform purchase NFTs for status, uniqueness and aesthetics. While current NFT sales are not as high as during the peak in 2021, the space still holds on. In an announcement sent to Cointelegraph, Metajuice highlighted that their team surveyed over 6,000 NFT users to discover the motivations behind NFT purchases. The survey results showed that among the reasons laid out by the researchers, standing out and wearing the NFTs as their avatar were the top reasons for NFT purchases. In addition, 74% of the respondents highlighted that they are interested in NFTs for the status that they give. On the other hand, 13% percent of the survey participants said that they are buying NFTs to resell them in the future.

NeoSwap AI claims it seeks to revolutionise commerce with its multi-party, multi-item trading platform powered by artificial intelligence. It said its proprietary algorithms allow for ‘efficient trade discovery’ using digital assets and minimal currency, offering a new and more efficient form of commerce compared to traditional centralized methods that require greater liquidity.
