South Korea has announced a five-year plan to invest $13.8 million in the regional metaverse economy.
That totals $170 million laid out by the South Korean government in January to invest in the concept of virtual reality.
President Yoon Suk-Yeol pointed out that technology is a national priority and Park Jin, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the country is poised to become a metaverse powerhouse.
