The United States has arrested and charged 24-year-old French citizen Aurelian Michel for defrauding purchasers of the "Mutant Ape Planet" NFT collection (
mutantapeplanetnft) out of $2.9 million.
During the NFT bull run of 2021-2022, there were so many scams and rug-pulls that it was impossible to keep track of.
But it seems like the US government was watching closely.
