Walmart Jumps Into Immersive Experiences With Metaverse Project
The virtual experience on Roblox has been steadily growing, with major brands and retailers jumping at the opportunity to leverage the emerging technology that gets us closer to the metaverse. Walmart is the latest company to do so, announcing two new experiences on the Roblox platform: Walmart Land and Walmart Universe of Play.
These two new spaces promise unique interactive content and entertainment, bringing to life Walmart’s “isles” within a virtual format where consumers can access the brand’s top fashion, style, beauty, and entertainment items through Roblox. Within Universe of Play, the Roblox community will gain access to “the ultimate virtual toy destination” ahead of the holiday season. Within this immersive experience, visitors can access a virtual store of merchandise for avatars.
