Spoke to the dev of this project, it's a unique concept. They say every aspect of the token is going to be decided by the holders, from taxes to liquidity lock length, to the name.

They're also spending the taxes to hire people from the community to work on things like the website, art, etc.

They're setting up a time to vote and launch tomorrow. They won't be renouncing, but I know the team and the Dev is SAFU.
