Another birdie flew into the NFT market. To begin with, Moonbirds is the latest NFT collection which has gained a blue chip status with record-setting trading volume of more than $200M over the last weekend.
According to the roadmap, a holder gets benefits, including prioritized access to further drops, private club membership, products, and the early access to the upcoming metaverse platform called Project Highrise.
It’s worth mentioning that they are quite expensive NFTs. At the start, items minted at 2.5 ETH.
The project’s success has attracted a great deal of scammers, though, who are using verified but most likely stolen Twitter accounts to leverage the enthusiasm around it to steal users’ assets via links in social networks.
The Moonbirds launch has become a milestone so to speak for NFTs in 2022. It will have a ripple effect on the industry, giving it the much-needed second wind.

Pizza fit this narrative more or less well. Seemingly, the metaverse will duplicate absolutely everything that exists in the real world, including some “sins”.
That way, Absolut Land came into our lives. Since April 15 Absolut, vodka brand, has been welcoming users in Decentraland.
Absolut Land visitors will get exclusive NFT wearables to show off in decentraland and find the festival fashion full of users to mix and mingle with. Users will also have a chance to explore the land and find hidden collectibles, unlocking prizes etc.

We are curious about the statistics on the number of users willing to take part in those events. Also, we are dying to find out if the statistics will account for the brand lovers who will manage to break into the metaverse with no internet connection just by plain old binge drinking. The project hasn’t been officially released yet. Everything tells us that it will be similar to Stepn. On top of that, the users will be able to take part in bicycle racing events, track the environmental impact, and so on.

Sega, a video game developer and publisher, has filed for registration of NFT-related trademarks and logos. In the recent interview, the producer of Sega Masayoshi Kikuchi called NFTs and cloud technology the future of gaming and entertainment.

Should we expect an 8-bit play-to-earn game where you can use one NFT-sonic out of thousands? It’s quite vague and unclear so far. Sega producers and execs are careful about their NFT decisions.
