Thousand thanks for testing the Pirate Wallet iOS and help us improve the app over the past months. We need more testers to test the current version and report any bugs before we can publish it in the Apple App Store. Current version is the most stable version yet and a lot of bugs fixed compared to earlier versions.

Currently the app can be downloaded via Apple TestFlight app as the app is not released yet. If you would like to help test, or use the app, please visit https://piratewallet.io/ to get the download/install link.

Remember:
- keep your 24 words seed phrase written down in safe place
- never share your seed phrase with anyone, even with team member or dev unless you know what you are doing
- use small amount of funds for testing
- use latest iOS 15.x to be safe and try not to use iOS 14 as this version has a vulnerability
- report any issues you find in pirate-wallet-ios channel
- if you have any suggestions or feature request please create a detailed issue here https://github.com/Meshbits/pirate-chain-ios-wallet/issues/ (please check existing ones first to avoid creating duplicates)
- to avoid any issues during testing if you are updating to latest, probably better to remove existing app and install fresh (make sure that you have your seed backed up)
- Meshbits doesn't collect any user info or any analytics data to respect your privacy

2022-01-19 21:04:00 We are currently crafting a response to the DMCA notice filed by a competitor project to our pirate repository on GitHub.

While we work through the process, we created a new repo (https://gitlab.com/piratenetwork_mirror), removed all of the cited code, and released an updated version based on that code. Website wallet links already reflect this temporary change.

GitHub follows a standard procedure regardless of the validity of the claims. To maintain its safe harbor status it must remove the cited repository within 1 business day until the repository has been changed or a counter-notice has been filed. After a counter-notice has been filed. The original filing party must initiate legal action or the repository will be restored in 10-14 days.

Q-2: What happens now?
A-2: For end-users nothing changes, the Pirate team will work through the standard processes the DMCA takedown claim requires and wait for GitHub to restore our repository since no license or law was broken. Everything will continue to operate as before. Users don't have to take any action.

Q-3: Is guilt being admitted by making a new repo on GitLab?
A-3: NO, the new repository on GitLab was simply made so users can continue to access our code uninterruptedly. We've also removed all of the cited code and released an updated version based on that code there. That action was taken so the new temporary repository on GitLab won't be taken down as well until the DMCA claim has been dealt with. Open / Comment

2022-01-01 00:16:54 Please test out this updated version of skull island and let me know if there are any issues.

Update Notes:
- Firebase has been removed from the app.
- Removed the graph from the main page.
- Added multi address support.
- Added full viewing key support.
- Streamlined the UI a bit.
Also I found a problem with the encryption. The wallet.dat file created by the backend pirate-lightwallet-cli was not encrypted, so that's been fixed.
Lastly Mullroy changed the encoding of the param files which reduced the memory footprint. My tests has show peak memory usage at about 425MB, but stabilizing around 200MB while syncing and fully synced.

This version will not overwrite your existing installation, it will install a new app for testing. Open / Comment

2021-12-13 14:42:06 The Pirate Chain team has secured a new code security review by an external third party for Treasure Chest Wallet.

Reviews are part of the development process and occur occasionally to ensure that all parts of the code are scrutinized as much as possible.

Are More Audits Needed?
The short answer is, yes. To complete the audit cycle Pirate Chain needs to undergo one final external audit of its core code. To do this a total of $145,000 is required for cybersecurity experts Halborn to do the review. So far 32% of the total has been already raised.
