Scientists 3D printed an artificial eye

A team of scientists from the University of Minnesota used special inks to print photodiodes on a spherical glass dome by converting light into electricity.

It takes less than an hour to produce such lenses and employs 3D printing.

The efficiency of the artificial lens in converting light into electrical signals is currently 25%.
