Drone flaps wings better than any bird The authors of a new work have created an unmanned aerial vehicle that uses an
artificial muscle system. The device looks no bigger than a dragonfly. Its wings consist of one
large electrode and two small ones at the base.
During tests, the device was able to fly across the room at a speed of about
2.5 km/h. The wing flap was more than a million cycles without any performance degradation.
