The seaplane of the future "flies" on water at 250 km/h

The tests take place in the SINTEF ship model tank in Trondheim. Elfly Group has now developed and is testing a fourth version of the model.

If Elfy succeeds, the plane of the future will be electric, environmentally friendly, quieter and fly on shorter routes and from more places.

"We're talking zero emissions and an electric motor that makes only a faint buzzing sound," the project authors explain. The seaplane will take off and land on water and will be equipped to launch from airfields.
