Uh oh. Price is going up = here comes the paper bitcoin holders.

This is just a simple reminder to those who are inevitably going to see a rising fiat price and think "woah, I can make some sweet fiat gains off this bitcoin thing that I don't understand at all".

If you pay fiat for bitcoin and keep it on an exchange, if you buy a bitcoin futures ETF, if you buy MSTR or RIOT stock, etc, you have bought nothing. You own nothing. You are being scammed.

Only bitcoin you have moved off an exchange to your own wallet, earned yourself directly, or bought directly P2P is real bitcoin. If you don't self-custody your bitcoin, you don't understand bitcoin and you should learn more about how it and the legacy financial system are different before buying it.

Everything other than self-custodied bitcoin is legacy financial system logic. You do not own the dollars in your bank account. You do not own the stock you hold in your 401k. You do not own your house. All of those things are mass delusion, smoke and mirrors, and just for pretendsies stores of wealth.

Bitcoin is the ONLY thing you can truly own. That is the entire point.
