Startup digest: Rubrik, Klarna and StoreDot
Over the year, revenue from subscriptions to cybersecurity company Rubrik grew by 100% and reached $400M per year. The number of customers, including BMO Financial Group, Citigroup, and others, increased to 4,500. At the same time, the revenue from existing customers amounted to 140%. In addition, the company launched the Rubrik Zero Labs cyber threat research center and the updated Rubrik Security Cloud solution.
Klarna releases 1H2022 financial results. The company's revenue increased by 24%. GMV grew by 21% to $41B: according to this indicator, Klarna is 5 times ahead of competitor Affirm. Transaction volume in the US increased by 109%, and the number of users in the US market exceeded 30M.
Losses also increased year-over-year (to 0.7% of transaction volume) due to active expansion into new markets.
Electric vehicle manufacturers are starting to test StoreDot batteries. The company sent samples to "more than a dozen potential customers."
