Cryptocurrency markets mostly saw gains at the start of April, with Ethereum also rising above $1,800. The rise in Bitcoin's price was in response to the US personal consumption expenditure figures released on Friday, which showed a lower-than-expected increase in inflation. Bitcoin reached an intraday high of $28,802.46, bouncing back from a low of $27,854.63 the previous day.
