We have been hard at work updating our frontend interfaces, rigorously testing smart contract migrations, and making sure everything is perfectly set and ready for takeoff for Columbus-5!! We are recommending a temporary increase in gas prices to deter potential spam attacks that may cause problems during the crucial Col-5 upgrade!!
The new gas prices are about 2.5x for stablecoins, and 1.2x for LUNA.
Validators -- Please update your gas prices for your validator node settings using the announced guidelines posted to the Validator Discord channel!
Users — Understandably, this will create a slight inconvenience for users who are used to making frequent, small transactions. Rest assured, we will provide a new set of gas prices to return the fees to normal once the network upgrade is complete.
