FAQs

1) When Columbus-5

At the block height #4,724,000, the Columbus-4 chain will halt and the Columbus-5 mainnet migration will commence.
This roughly translates to the following times:

Wed Sep 29 2021 23:00:00 GMT-0800 (PDT)
Thu Sep 30 2021 07:00:00 GMT+0000 (UTC)
Thu Sep 30 2021 16:00:00 GMT+0900 (KST)

2) How long will the migration take?

The migration is expected to take roughly 2 hours pending no extenuating circumstances.

The initiation of the migration will be relayed publicly both 1 hour before its execution and also at the precise time that the Col-4 chain halts.

3) Can I continue to use Terra during the migration period?

Once the migration is initiated, please DO NOT interact with the Terra blockchain. This means do not attempt to send transactions, access wallets, or interact with dApps on the Terra network during this time.

Once the mainnet migration is complete, an announcement will be released officially confirming that Columbus-5 is live, stable, and ready to use. At that point, users and developers will be able to interact with Columbus-5 as the new Terra mainnet.

4) Do I need to withdraw my assets or close any positions before Col-5?

NO! USERS do NOT need to withdraw liquidity or close positions on Mirror/Anchor before the migration as all assets will remain the same during the migration.

Individual applications, specifically Mirror and Anchor will initiate a 3-hour window for users with open debt positions to deposit collateral and safely ensure liquidation risk is mitigated for those users AFTER the completion of the mainnet migration.
