What's the big news about crypto getting a big boost from Visa?
With global transactions via crypto-linked Visa cards exceeding USD1 billion in the first half of 2021, Visa recently decided to partner with 50 major cryptocurrency platforms for its FinTech Fast Track Program which is focused on making cryptocurrency more practical for consumer and business spending by creating "an ecosystem that makes cryptocurrency more usable and more like any other currency."

Among the cryptocurrency platforms that are participating in Visa's Fintech Fast Track Program are Coinbase, Blockfi, Circle and FTX.

So, what does the Program entails?
Under the Program, Visa will be leveraging its partnership with the participating cryptocurrency platforms to facilitate the conversion and spending of cryptocurrencies at 70 million merchants worldwide.

Visa users who spend fiat also stand to gain under the Program as they can earn cryptocurrencies as a reward for their fiat spending.
