2021-12-09 14:56:20 Reddit will expand its loyalty program with Ethereum tokens

Social network Reddit has opened a waiting list to expand its Ethereum token reward program "Community Points" to subreddits of the platform and launched a special information resource.

The initiative has been in test mode since May 2020. Members of the r/Cryptocurrency and r/FortniteBR subreddits receive ERC-20 standard MOONS and BRICKS tokens, respectively.

The program is deployed in the Rinkeby testnet with the prospect of moving to the main Ethereum network.

Users earn points for creating popular content, moderation, participation in votes and other forms of contribution to community life. The platform has published standard rules for accruing tokens, but sabreddits can determine their own norms.

The tokens are stored in the Vault wallet created by Reddit and are at the full disposal of the user. Open / Comment

On Saturday, December 4, the price of the first cryptocurrency fell below the $47,000 mark. The drop over the past 24 hours was 16%, according to CoinGecko.

The price of bitcoin momentarily fell to the $42,000 level.

Ethereum has collapsed to $3500. As of this writing, the cryptocurrency is trading at $3800.

Other crypto-assets from the top 10 by capitalization except for Stablecoin also entered the red zone. Terra (LUNA) was in the top 10 for the first time.

In the bitcoin futures market, $961 million worth of positions were liquidated in the last 24 hours, and $342 million worth of positions were liquidated in an hour.

The cryptocurrency market capitalization fell to $2.28 trillion, the bitcoin figure is $898 billion, according to CoinGecko.

The Block analyst Larry Chermack recorded the liquidation of long positions worth $1.3 billion as digital gold fell to $42,000.

Decentralized exchange aggregator (DEX) provider ParaSwap Foundation launches its own token, dubbed PSP, on the Ethereum blockchain, and promises a retrospective airdrop. A snapshot has already been taken.
