Yearn Finance (YFI) is hacked – $11.6M in stablecoins stolen
An exploit involving DeFi protocol Yearn Finance $YFI took place earlier today, causing damages of $11.6M, according to PeckShield. It appears to involve a misconfigured token called yUSDT, a version of $USDT created by Yearn Finance. The exploiter received a mix of stablecoins, including $DAI, $USDC, $BUSD, $TUSD and $USDT. The attack used the Aave V1 protocol in making a large array of swaps but Aave V1 itself wasn't exploited or impacted.
