As part of the pilot testing, WhatsApp will allow sending cryptocurrency payments in the messenger to a «limited circle» of users in the United States. The Novi digital wallet, which also belongs to the Meta corporation, was integrated with the application.

According to the Novi website, the integration involves commission-free transactions in Pax Dollar (USDP) stablecoins within the messenger. The company has not set limits on the frequency of payments or their volume. There are no fees for withdrawing funds to a bank card.
