Seasoned developer Justin Bebis, CEO of Byte Masons Web3 development studio, reported that one of the old wallets of 1inch Network (1INCH) addresses is abused by malefactors. Bebis has taken to Twitter to inform users that an old address on the Fantom (FTM) network that was previously used by 1inch Network (1INCH) multi-blockchain DeFi protocol, is controlled by malefactors. The attackers deployed a malicious contract to the address 0x11111112542d85b3ef69ae05771c2dccff4faa26. As such, all DeFi users who interacted with the contract put their money at risk.

1inch Network has partnered with NFT domain provider Unstoppable Domains to give users a new feature where they can purchase human-readable domain names when buying or sending crypto assets. Through this partnership, 1inch wallet users can perform crypto transactions in a more user-friendly way by replacing complex addresses with domain names.Once purchased, the crypto wallet address name, provided by Unstoppable Domains, belongs to its holder forever and is minted as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) on the blockchain with no minting and no renewal fees. NFT domain names can play an important role in developing decentralized identity solutions to address Web3 adoption. It can also help with issues like security and user experience, 1inch said in a statement.

SushiSwap’s newly-elected top executive — or “head chef” — has been accused of mishandling wallet exploits at his prior employer. The allegations appear flimsy, but they still present a headache for the DeFi platform accustomed to leadership drama. And legal action is brewing. Jared Grey was elected head chef of SushiSwap on Oct. 3 via an on-chain election dominated by venture capital firms, and the accusations came as Grey was still an unfamiliar figure to many in the protocol. ALQO (since rebranded as EONS) allowed users to store cryptoassets using its wallet software, Liberio. In February 2019, Liberio users began complaining of suddenly-missing funds.

A governance proposal that would deploy Uniswap V3 on zkSync 2.0 passed earlier today with overwhelming support. This deployment means Uniswap V3 will be available for users to trade on after zkSync launches on Oct. 28. Uniswap V3 holds the largest share of Decentralized Exchange (DEX) volume, according to The Block Research's data. Almost 100% of voters supported the proposal. Out of approximately 41.3 million votes cast, only 120 were against the deployment. The goal of this deployment is to support Uniswap’s cross-chain expansion into multiple blockchain ecosystems, according to the proposal. It further outlined that the deployment of Uniswap V3 will onboard new users and increase user activity on Uniswap.

Ethereum development company Nethermind has announced it has “transpiled and compiled” decentralized exchange (DEX) Uniswap v3 on “Warp” — a project designed to allow Ethereum users to swap tokens on the more scalable Ethereum layer-2 network StarkNet. The milestone was announced by team lead Jorik Schellekens in an Oct. 9 Medium post. Nethermind describes Warp as a “Solidity to Cairo Transpiler,” which enables Ethereum-based projects written in Solidity to transition its codebase onto StarkNet, allowing them to capitalize on cheaper fees.

Blockchain security company Supremacy Inc. has tweeted that DeFi aggregator ParaSwap may have been compromised, leading to multiple chains’ stolen funds. The exploit may be a result of a profanity vulnerability. Updated 11 Oct., 10:00UTC: ParaSwap have denied any vulnerability and have said they will release a fuller explanation later. The ParaSwap team did offer an update saying that it was investigating the issue but that the address has no power after the deployment. Supremacy said that the deployer’s address is associated with multiple multi-sign wallets. It recommended to ParaSwap that it ensure that other multi-sign addresses are not generated by profanity.
