2023-04-14 13:44:42 @everyone That's the end of the sim4 bonus round!** There was a protocol upgrade completed by the validators while users were trading on markets, which is a huge milestone for the protocol! 2023-04-12 20:07:25 Ladies & gents.... Thanks for the wait, The Mainnet Sim #4 show continues, with the Bonus Rounds

As mentioned earlier today, the Vega network will experience an asynchronous upgrade whilst users are trading on the markets! Just as a heads up, things will most likely go down during these bonus rounds, so fear not it is to be expected! It's really important that you keep trading once the network is restored.

Any feedback on the experience would be golden as it will help us improve for the future, once things get real on Alpha Mainnet. Leaving the Vega GitHub feedback section here just in case you have any suggestions for the team: https://github.com/vegaprotocol/feedback/discussions

*Rules are pretty much the same:

- Trade on the validator testnet (testnet2)

- https://validator-testnet.console.vega.xyz/

- Don't Sybil

- Recurring testnet transers for funds will take place like Sims 4

- Two Daily trading games

Mainnet Simulation 4 will be extended for a short bonus round!

Why? The Vega project team needs to implement a validator asynchronous upgrade whilst Sims trading activity is present on the network. Once Alpha Mainnet is released, protocol upgrades will happen whenever the network needs to be updated & these will be coordinated by the validators! So we’re testing things out on Sim 4

During this bonus round things will break & the network will go down for some time. Hold tight & keep placing your trades once the network is restored...

We'd appreciate any feedback on the network upgrade experience so that we can implement improvements! Are you getting the warnings that you would expect for a network upgrade? Is there anything else you might want to see?

Sim 4 was the second time that the Vega network ran on the Validators decentralised testnet, with the addition of professional market makers implementing their trading strategies...This time, however, the network operated solely on validator-run data nodes! **This is a really big achievement for Vega and takes the project another step closer towards decentralisation & Alpha Mainnet

Big thank you to all the participants and Sim testers in our Community, we would have never made it this far without you

We'll keep you posted on the winners of Sim4, don't forget to look out for the Sims 4 wrap-up blog! BTW the Sybil Squad is still on the hunt for baddies There's also a special reward for the Community of 420 VEGA, more info will be in the blog once we post it!
