2019-11-27 18:15:04 The picture remains flattish: literally ALL top-10 names except for Tether show c.+1.5% d-o-d. Some bigger gainers are TRON and Cardano, both up by 5.5%. There is little to now to explain the recent downward move, and traders keep making bets on where the mid-term trend might end.

As a piece of yet another disturbing industry news, one of Korea's leading cryptoexchanges got hacked with $50mn ETH worth stolen. However obscure this may sound, attempts to track and mark "dirty / stolen" bitcoins or ethers haven't resulted in any hackers' problems with cashing out so far.

2019-11-25 16:07:57 The market feels confident about falling even lower: with the rarest exception, everything remains red. Bitcoin, the world’s flagship cryptocurrency by any measurement, lost another 5.0% and dropped below an important $7,000 mark to touch $6,900. Ethereum continued to fall with an even stronger pace (-5.5%), Bitcoin Cash stepped back -2.5%, and Litecoin fell as well -4.9%.

JPMorgan thinks blockchain can help it keep track of the automobile inventory it finances for car dealers – and prevent them from pledging the same cars for different loans. “The floorplan lending process involves periodically doing a physical inspection or audit of all the inventory on the dealership's lot," said Kevin Point, head of research and development at Chase Auto. "That means that a human being actually travels to the dealership, identifies the vehicles and then reconciles that inventory, if the loan's outstanding, on both the dealer's and the bank's accounting system.”

2019-11-21 19:07:03 The market goes deeper into the red zone.
Bitcoin damaged severely -2.9% in the last 24 hours and dropped below 8K down to $7,900. Ethereum crippled even harder -4.8%, Bitcoin Cash lost -4.3% and Litecoin recorded the biggest loss of all liquid names, -5.2%.

Bosses of cryptocurrency exchanges that fail to register with South Korea's top financial regulator may soon face jail time. The National Assembly's Amendment Subcommittee on Parliamentary Affairs passed a legal amendment to the still-in-development Special Financial Transactions Information Act to force virtual asset exchanges to register with the Financial Services Commission (FSC). Those failing to do so would face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 50 million won ($42,460).

Under the amendment, aimed to align the industry with international anti-money laundering guidance from FATF, crypto exchanges must also have so-called real name virtual bank accounts – sub accounts for users within an exchange's primary account – to avoid falling foul of the legislation.

2019-11-19 15:42:21 Now, there are not that many cross-reads from traditional markets into the crypto world yet but missing both DJ and Nasdaq refreshing their highs. Despite capital flow between the two universes is not obvious yet, stock levels that high call for some action in the blockchain based assets. Well... there ain't any! Market is visibly smashed today with BTC trading -5% at $8,100, XRP losing 6%, and BCH going down by as much as 10%.

Food giants Nestle and Carrefour are planning to use IBM's Food Trust blockchain platform to track organic baby milk products and provide consumers with data on their origins and movements “from dairy to shelf.” Healthy food and healthy adoption trends...

2019-11-14 18:52:04 The market turned pinky red: Bitcoin lost -1.2% in the last 24 hours and dropped to $8,700.
Ethereum is showing -0.5%, Bitcoin Cash on a huge break down of -3.7% and Litecoin lost quite a lot as well -3.3%. But there are green dots, for example UNI COIN gained +52.4% today (not clear if this is a regular pump & dump, though).

Facebook is launching a new payments system named Facebook Pay, and some clarification is in order. It will be available across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and it’s designed to facilitate payments across Facebook’s popular social networks and apps. Facebook Pay can be used to send money to friends, shop for goods, or even donate to fundraisers.

The service will be separate from Facebook’s new Calibra wallet and the Libra network, and it’s “built on existing financial infrastructure and partnerships,” according to the company!

2019-11-13 19:08:07 No single mood in the market: Bitcoin stays below 9K, yet it rose +0.4% and touched $8,800.
Ethereum as well had +0.3% gain in the last 24 hours, Bitcoin Cash dropped down a bit -0.5% and Litecoin lost -0.4%. To sum up, 1st tier is super flat.

China is preparing to be the first country to roll out a digitized domestic currency, speculators say (as officials give very cloudy comments, as usual). and it is not a bid to gain full control of information belonging to the general public — the goal is to balance privacy concerns and the authorities’ need for information.

2019-11-11 20:16:40 Another Monday greets us with minor shares of red: Bitcoin lost -1.5% and got down even lower to $8,700. Ethereum lost a bit -0.5%, Bitcoin Cash stood its ground unchanged and Litecoin had -2.0%.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray says cryptocurrency is a “significant issue” that is likely to become a “bigger and bigger” problem for the law enforcement agency. He said: “We are looking at it from an investigative perspective, including tools that we have to follow the money even in this new world that we’re living in.”
