Bitcoin reserve at American exchanges is declining, according to the data given by CryptoQuant. Despite a long-term decline in reserves across all exchanges, it appears that this decline is particularly pronounced on American exchanges.
One of the reasons can be found in the recent strictures of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Because of regulatory demands, American investors may no longer have as much faith in exchanges and would rather shift their coins to offshore exchanges or their wallets.
If American policymakers put pressure on this industry, they risk falling behind the rest of the globe.
