Evidence shows that the more brain computer interfaces (BCIs) | Zarela

Evidence shows that the more brain computer interfaces (BCIs) are developed, the more sensitive EEG data becomes and this issue reveals the communication between the EEG and the prosthesis to stealing personal information.

Now, how can we protect this EEG data?

According to a study by SuJin Bak, et al. published in 7th International Winter Conference on BCI, investigators recently demonstrated "Brain spyware" can hijack data such as PIN, birthdate, address, and so on from recorded EEG signals.

To solve this issue, the researchers provide a blockchain platform paid attention to the hash value of the EEG. Through the verification of the hash integrity, they can find out the hash value changed after attacking the blockchain system.
This study's next focus will be on the deployment of user identification to prevent unauthorized third-party access.
