Educational Post: What is CME gap?
CME(Chicago Mercantile Exchange) is an exchange that offers trading facilities including Bitcoin's future contracts. Now we all know that these exchanges have certain times to trade in. They do not stay open 24/7. CME closes weekly on every Friday and than reopens on Monday. During the time when CME is closed, the worldwide trade of $BTC doesn't close on other exchanges like Binance, Kucoin and others as it is a 24/7 trading facility.
Consequently, there is a gap created in between the closing price of Friday on CME and opening price of Monday on CME charts, which is widely referred to as CME gap.
