On the morning of March 30 bitcoin tested above $29,000. At the peak, the price reached $29,184, which corresponds to the June 2022 level. At this point, quotes have corrected. As of this writing, digital gold is trading near $28,000.
The CFTC has filed a lawsuit against Binance and Changpeng Zhao. According to the regulator, the platform violated derivatives trading rules by operating without proper registration. Zhao called the agency's lawsuit "unexpected and disappointing," since the exchange has cooperated with the CFTC for more than two years.
According to a report to the SEC, between Feb. 16 and March 23, 2023, MicroStrategy bought about 6,455 BTC for ~$150 million at an average price of $23,238. It holds 138,955 BTC worth $4.14 billion.
