The Slush Pool mining pool predicts the next period of difficulty "will be unprecedented in mining profitability."
The difficulty is now expected to drop 20% during recalculation in one week. However, given the corresponding slowdown in block release, a maximum reduction of 25% could occur. Thanks to this, expressed in bitcoins, the profitability of mining will increase by 20-25%. As Slush Pool notes, the increase in profitability is becoming the largest in the history of Bitcoin.
