Research shows that 40% of US cryptocurrency holders have forgotten their passwords

A survey of over 1,000 crypto investors in the United States found that 39.7% of digital asset owners have forgotten their passwords.

Since Bitcoin's creation in 2009, many people have lost their digital assets by forgetting their passwords, according to research by Cryptovantage. At the same time, those who could not recover their passwords lost an average of $2134.

Thus, 39.7% of cryptocurrency holders have forgotten their password at some point. But, 95.6% of people who lost access to their cryptoassets were able to recover their credentials, and 85.7% used the recovery service.
