El Salvador finally launched a plan to mine bitcoins using volcanoes

A few hours ago, El Salvador's President Naib Bukele shared a tweet showing the installation of several Bitcoin mining machines inside a geothermal power plant.

He supplemented the tweet with the short words "First steps".

The tweet shows an aerial video of a facility that generates electricity from the heat of volcanoes. He then moves into a truck with the Salvadorian government logo to make way for a man who appears to be building a bitcoin mining farm with several Asics miners working. The video ends with a panoramic view of the power plant.
