Coinbase Cloud’s Solana Archival Nodes can examine historical address balances, run complex queries, and simulate the blockchain state at any given point in the chain’s history. Coinbase Cloud previously launched secure, dedicated Solana infrastructure nodes via Query & Transact.

Today, Coinbase Cloud is expanding that offering with the launch of Solana Archival Nodes. Managing archival nodes in a scalable way is technically challenging due to Solana’s high throughput design (~2–3 blocks/sec) and large data footprint (~100TB for all historical data). Solana builders can let Coinbase Cloud do the heavy lifting and access the archival data they need. Coinbase Cloud’s infrastructure is built to meet or exceed the security needs of highly regulated institutions.

US trading platform Robinhood said that it would start listing Cardano among its cryptocurrency offerings, according to an announcement. The tweet from the San Francisco-based firm implied that Cardano was finally being added after receiving significant demand from its customers. With a market capitalization of $15 billion, Cardano is currently the eighth largest cryptocurrency, according to CoinGecko data. In spite of the newfound inclusion of crypto, the market seemed relatively unenthused in its reaction.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible token (NFT) collection has hit a new all-time high, according to data from Dune Analytics. The floor price of the record-setting NFT collection from Yuga Labs reached 176.989 ETH, according to user analysis. The analysis also revealed that BAYC reached a two-month-high in terms of median price, at 440.51 ETH. In contrast, the median price for rival NFT collection CryptoPunks reached a two-month low, at 33.73 ETH. With $2.4 billion in total sales, BAYC managed to surpass CryptoPunks earlier this week by achieving the top spot in overall sales. Comprising 10,000 unique NFT digital collectible ape avatars, BAYC did not perform especially well after initially launching in April 2021.

Los Angeles-based Stacked, co-founded by serial entrepreneur Alex Lin, is making a video streaming platform for gaming content — basically Twitch for web3 users, the founder and CEO told TechCrunch. The idea is to turn creators into shareholders of the platform by giving them governance tokens, a model that will “align the interests of content operators and creators for the first time,” Lin suggested. Creators won’t need to be crypto-savvy to use the service. The platform, available on both mobile and desktop, will look similar to a conventional video streaming platform, Lin said.
