Today we are expecting the release of inflation (CPI) data in the US.Current inflation is at 6.5%. The market expects a decrease to 6.2%, although no change in inflation was forecast in January.
Scenarios:
• 6.6% or higher — sell-off across all markets.
• 6.3%-6.5% — a lighter sell-off.
• 6.2% — a normal, even good scenario.
• 6.1% or lower — a good scenario for markets to turn green.
Previously, CPI was calculated based on consumption over the past 2 years. From now on, the data will be based on 1 year of consumption.
It is possible that the change in the calculation model will have a significant impact on the results @daylananalyste
