Many newbies to the crypto market who started their journey last year can feel disappointed with what's happening on the market now. This year, we all learned what it means when the "bear" enters the market. But do you know that there was a bearwhale?

The story takes us back to October, 2014, when the BTC price was around $320 per coin after hitting the $1000 level in 2013. One trader who has collected a massive amount of BTC decided to sell 30,000 coins all at once. This trader was nicknamed "BearWhale".

BearWhale's sell order was 31% of an average day's volume. All markets started following the trend. BearWhale used massive accounts to drive the price down, and Bitcoin got stuck at the $300 price mark. Between 01:00 UTC and 06:10 UTC on October 6, there was a fight between the bears and the bulls. Buy and sell orders were rapidly interchanging in the order book.
