It's that time again

I was asked tonight to take a look into Every_Ape by @FairLaunchCalls, and check if anything scammy was going on. Unfortunately I got kicked from Every_ape's channel when an incredibly hilarious man started screaming I'm working with "slayer", which I assume is not the heavy metal band. The long and short here though is that @EverApe's community mods muted their chat, and instructed community members to dump their tokens.. and send their ETH income on to a random wallet for an airdrop. This happened when winrar/pressed4 were in the EverApe chat, two extremely well-known ruggers who were interacting with the mods.

Which sounds.. uh, "safe". Neat.

I believe this is going on FLC's tg, so, hi my name's Eoghan, and I'm the project lead at @DogiraToken. We're focused on building asset-backed NFTs, and native blockchain gaming projects. You should check us out at https://dogira.net! I previously worked as the first core developer on Dogecoin (after Jackson and Billy), and unfortunately learned about rugs the hard way when I had to whistleblow on a now-infamous crypto criminal who managed to steal millions in BTC/LTC/Doge. So nowadays, outside of working on Dogira, I go looking at rugs.

I logged into the every_ape TG and connected to their VC, and asked for info on why they had believed they were being rugged - alongside asking for info on why they collected ETH into a random wallet with the promise of an airdrop. Unfortunately, that's where the coherent story ends.

The VC first claimed that FairLaunchCalls was scraping 6% of all sales into a dev wallet. This would actually make sense, as FLC outright state they take a sales tax on their launches, and notify communities of it beforehand. However, this particular contract was bugged, and was only actually shaving around 0.003 - 0.06% (value uncertain). FLC also offered to relaunch this contract, which I've verified. The community instead used it as a selling point, as other bugs in the wallet created two black holes set for a collision.

I've also checked the dev wallet, and can see that there is absolutely no way that 6% of sales were entering any dev wallet. Some members of the VC stated they found a flashbot which was grid-trading or "making micro-sales" which belonged to FLC. The contract has no evidence of this, and no members of the VC could provide a link; and instead got extremely agitated in stating it'll "be posted soon".

Members of the VC were irate, and claimed they were frustrated as they were banned from their TG by FLC admins. After speaking with them, it was noted that the Every_Ape mod team never spoke to FLC about their intentions to "airdrop onto a new contract"; so, from FLC's perspective, all they saw was a muted chat, and people being instructed to dump tokens and send eth to a wallet address they'd never seen before. They moved and immediately banned all of the active mods following this.

After highlighting this, members of the VC became increasingly frustrated, and claimed I am a plant. Before threatening me with their "400 followers". They then kicked me.

It's fully possible that the Every_Ape team are behaving in good faith and do intend to airdrop holders onto a new contract, but it should be noted they have around 10% of the liquidity needed to match their old market cap. The fact that they became so agitated when questioned, and had zero links, or proof of their claims would disincline me from going near their token, however. In addition, seeing pressed and winrar speaking with the mod team (after just hosting the stage at a rug conference) would steer me far, far away from them. Lastly, the fact that they tried to hide this dump & airdrop from their launch partners would be a massive red flag for me.

Again, possible that Every_Ape is just horrendous at communication, or extremely naive. However, I'd strongly recommend against sending ETH into their magical wallet, particularly when no token has been launched.
