Dow drops 500 pts amid monetary policy fears
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index dropped over 500 points on Tuesday as the latest economic data reports sparked concerns that the Federal Reserve will not pause or move away from the interest rate hiking process in the near future. Traders also examined the earnings figures by Walmart and the Home Depot.

The Dow Jones was down 1.45% or 490 points, the Nasdaq 100 lost 1.58% and the S&P 500 fell by 1.35% at 10:22 am ET.

The euro was 0.21% lower than the dollar, going for 1.06630 at the same time.
