Looking at the data collected by defillama.com, we see that the $238 billion threshold was reached today. As a reminder, the total locked-in value, or TVL, is the funds that are locked in the various industry protocols. It is widely regarded as an indicator of the health of the decentralized finance field, and investor interest.

DeFi Aave takes the top spot in terms of total locked value, with $18.9 billion. It is followed by Curve Finance ($18 billion) and MakerDAO ($16.4 billion).

Stablecoins are powering the DeFi ecosystem, and they've been on the rise in recent weeks as well. The largest of them, Tether (USDT), reached a record high in terms of capitalization yesterday. There are now almost 70 billion USDT in circulation. Open / Comment

What's new since the last update my dear community? Well nothing less than a new ATH! BTC has indeed broken the 64800 level and reached a high of 67000 on Binance.

The trading volume during the previous session was below its average level, which is kind os surprising, while remaining roughly the same compared to the few sessions before.

The daily technical situation remains positive despite the fact that the indicators are moving more and more into their overbought zone. On a 4h time frame, the indicators are neutral with a negative WaveTrend and a positive MACD.

What to do now?

The ATH being broken we will be able to open a position on retracement. We had a scalp opportunity at 64000-64500 but it has already passed. The next opportunity, if BTC does not break its new ATH in the meantime, is at 63k.

As explained in a release from the NBA, the company Coinbase has become the exclusive crypto partner of the basketball association. Coinbase's logo will appear at NBA games, but also at WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball games. The 75th season is about to begin for the NBA.

This will allow the company to "educate fans on the incredible advancements taking place within the crypto economy," according to the league. Coinbase will create interactive experiences for them, as well as exclusive content.

More and more sports leagues and teams are showing links to the cryptocurrency industry in recent months. Earlier this summer, Coinbase's rival FTX set its sights on the baseball league (MLB), with a five-year partnership. A month earlier, Tezos (XTZ) approached the Formula 1 team Red Bull. The trading volume in the previous session was just above its average level, the latter seems to be stabilizing.

The daily technical situation remains positive with the MACD and WaveTrend still pointing upwards despite signs of a bearish bend. On a 4-hour time frame, the same observation can be made.

What to do now?

We are still facing the same dilemma as yesterday, too close to the ATH to open any kind of buying position. Today's session could hold some surprises.

What's new since the last update my dear community? Well, BTC is still moving above 62000 in a consolidation pattern that invites caution.

The trading volume in the previous session was below its average level and if we analyze the volume on a shorter time horizon such as 4 hours, it does not accompany the recent rise.

The daily technical situation remains positive despite the obvious signs of losing steam. On a 4h time horizon, the indicators are positive.

What to do now?

Nothing has fundamentally changed since yesterday, we are too close to the ATH to try anything before it breaks. If it does not, we will think about opening a short position.
