Zuckerberg Hints at the Arrival of NFTs on Instagram
Speaking at Austin’s ongoing SXSW festival, Mark Zuckerberg, the ever-famous CEO of powerhouse social media conglomerate Meta, confirmed reports that the company’s subsidiary, Instagram, was preparing to integrate NFTs into its platform.
The comments come off the back of reports made back in January, which stated that the conglomerate had intensified its efforts to bring the digital asset to the photo-sharing platform, as well another Meta-branded social media heavy-weight, Facebook.
In the words of Zuckerberg, Meta is:
“working on bringing NFTs to Instagram in the near term,” however he then added: “I’m not ready to kind of announce exactly what that’s going to be today”.
