Tether releases stabelcoin tied to Mexican pesoThe new stabelcoin will be called MXNT. According to the official statement, it will be released on Ethereum, TRON and Polygon blockchains.
Tether notes that in the Mexican market, about 40% of Mexican companies are seeking to implement blockchain and cryptocurrencies in one form or another.
The multi-billion dollar flow of remittances into Mexico and the challenges associated with it have created a "unique opportunity for the use and adoption of stablcoins."
It is safe to say that the first exchange to support MXNT will be Bitfinex - all projects from Tether appear there first.
It is not yet known on which other exchanges the Mexican peso from Tether will be available.
