Partisia celebrates : Ramadan
The Partisia Blockchain Foundation team believes that we have a lot to celebrate. Especially, the days and events that are important to our community.
Did you know that more than 120 countries are represented within the Partisia Blockchain community? Or that we have node operators ready to run Partisia nodes in more than 60 countries?
So today, to kick off our “Partisia Celebrates” series, we are starting with Ramadan, celebrated this month by more than 1 billion Muslims worldwide!
We wish all of our community that celebrates Ramadan a ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ (Happy Ramadan), ‘Ramadan Kareem’ (Have a generous Ramadan) and ‘Ramzan’ (for our Muslim friends in Pakistan and India).
It is our pleasure to share with you these 5 facts about Ramadan:
1. Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar that is based on various factors, such as the first sighting of the new crescent moon. Therefore, like all Islamic months, the month of Ramadan rotates every year.
2. Ramadan is the month of fasting in between the hours of sunrise and sunset.
3. Eating dates is a popular way to break the fast. The health benefits of dates are vast. They contain natural sugars, are high in fibre, are excellent for digestion, high in countless vitamins and nutrients, and so much more!
4. Ramadan is an auspicious month for generosity and giving. It is known as a month of humbleness and simplicity, and to remember those who are less fortunate.
5. Ramadan concludes with Eid ul-Fitr, a celebration which follows the period of fasting. After the last day of Ramadan, on Eid-al-fitr, the greeting changes to “Eid Mubarak”.
