Ethereum Roadmap's Next Major Milestones Ethereum has completed a highly anticipated upgrade, the Ethereum Shapella hard fork, but still has several major upgrades planned. The next upgrade, the Cancun hard fork, will introduce Proto-Danksharding in Q3 or Q4 of 2023, which will help to reduce network fees. Another milestone is Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), which would allow multiple people to pool their ETH and stake together. Finally, the proposer-builder separation (PBS) aims to address the issues caused by MEV attacks and is set to be rolled out in at least two years.
