AMC adds Dogecoin and Shiba Inu payments to mobile app
According to CEO Adam Aron, the official mobile app for AMC Theatres, the world's largest movie theater chain, now allows users to buy tickets with Shiba Inu and Dogecoin.
Support is provided through integration with crypto payment provider BitPay, allowing users to spend DOGE and SHIB on tickets, concessions and gift cards. Users have to update their app to their latest version in order to do this.
Earlier in November, AMC began accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin online payments. In September 2021, Adam Aron launched a poll to add support for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. Twitter users supported the idea.
