Zerion has raised $8.2 million

Decentralized finance (DeFi) portal Zerion raised $8.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Mosaic Ventures.

The investment, announced Wednesday, also included participation from parent company CoinDesk Digital Currency Group and existing investors Blockchain.com and Placeholder.

Since collecting the initial round, Zerion has created an award-winning interface that opens up the world of DeFi to everyone, regardless of expertise or experience. Zerion is used by more than 200,000 investors worldwide, serving everyone from high-net-worth crypto-kits to students looking to send instant money transfers.

Since the beginning of the year, the app has processed over $600 million in transaction volume and sees $5 million traded daily, with an average transaction size of $1,000.
