Tornado Cash transaction mixer launched on Optimism

The developers of the Tornado Cash cryptocurrency mixer continue to expand the project's footprint. Tornado smart contracts are now deployed on Optimism's Level 2 network.

The Tornado Cash mixer is now available on the first tier of the Etherium blockchain, as well as on the second tier solutions Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and the Binance Smart Chain, xDAI Chain and Avalanche blockchains.

The full launch of Optimism, with access for all developers, took place in mid-December. While the solution is not very popular yet, but it has already helped users save over $275 million in commissions. Right now, the amount of blocked assets in the Optimism protocol is $320 million. The Optimism network processes approximately 30,000 transactions daily.

Tornado Cash users will be able to use the solution to reduce the cost of commissions on the Etherium network. There are more than 60,000 addresses active in Optimism right now.
